My feeling about launchpad was that, if they're championing the deb
package format by offering the PPA feature, they're going to want to
offer supporting features for that also, which means review tools would
be valuable from the launchpad perspective as well as ours. Hence it
would be good to take the discussion to the lp devs so that we can all
benefit.

True enough. Something in my bones makes me say that those kind of
improvements should be happening in Debian anyway. But don't let me veer
off topic :-)
