Sound Driver for 5.1 channel

Hi,
     
I've got Gigabyte S-series  motherboard (Intel 945 chipset) which supports 5.1 channel sound system. But it is not working in Ubuntu 9.04. It is not detecting the system at all. Basically the sound driver is of Realtek. 

Please help me regarding this.......
