Looking for a Mentor

Hello Everyone,
I have been wanting to contribute for a long time to Ubuntu but never had
the
time or the experience. I thought what better way to learn and gain
experience then to help out Ubuntu. I have experience in C#, VB 6,
SQL, Python, a little Perl, Applescript. I know some of the languages
I mentioned are not for Ubuntu but I thought it would be good to
mention them. Now I am not sure how this all works, if there is an
application process or special requirement but I thought I would send
an email to this list to see what can be done.
