I added the ppa ppa:banshee-team/banshee-daily to my system. Now I have
Banshee 2.1.1 and the bug is still there. Since you say that you can't
replicate the bug, what is your screen resolution? I tried this on three
different monitors (and two different computers) with different
resolutions : 1366x768, 1280x1024 and 1680x1050. The bug happens on the
first two, but not the third, since I can't make the play bar long
enough for the bug to happen (there is a maximum length).

Bug description:
  On my computer (the screen resolution is 1366x768), if I resize the
  play bar like in the screenshot 2Banshee_before_restart.png and
  restart Banshee, the window is going to be bigger than the screen
  (3Banshee_after_restart1.png and 4Banshee_after_restart2.png).

  I'm using Ubuntu 11,04 and Banshee 2.0.0
