Ubuntu-LB Ubuntu-lb Digest, Vol 30, Issue 8

Not meaning any disrespect to you Jocelyn, but I have huge respect for
Elijah's answer. We have to stop selling Ubuntu as the dream that will fix
everything. Ubuntu might crash, might get infected, might not work ...
It is our job to send the right message to the public, not a tricky false
promise that will get them disappointed.
I also agree that it is weird to see Jocelyn say 'We' about a team that is
nothing more than a low-activity IRC chan.
Finally I am glad there's a new interest in the community. I will take the
opportunity of the Ubuntu LoCo council to suggest new elections for
presidency, where candidates should have a definite program laid out for the
year, thus setting up an accountability system as well as some real work in
the team.
A similar request had been made by a member (ghantoos if I'm correct) a
while back, but nothing ensued more than a meeting. Maybe this time real
work could happen?
Sincerely,
Joe 'rahmu' Rahme
