I think the virtual computer desktop has evolved far beyond the actual office 
desktop, to the point where it cannot be easily defined in terms of physical 
objects.

Great idea! I believe that everyone knows what it means to "delete a file", so 
the meaning of "Deleted Items" should be quite clear. In fact, I think it may 
make a lot more sense than referring to a physical bin.

You've convinced me: I propose that we adopt the phrase "Deleted Items". It 
appears to be working for Google, so why not for us?
