MySQL Trouble need help

OK - first - in the command you gave, the mysql bit would be ignored,
as apt-get upgrade is complete - and does an upgrade of all upgradable
packages. You should *always* precede that command with a sudo apt-get
update command first to make sure you do get the latest packages.

second - and maybe a bit more personal - i prefer aptitude to apt-get
as aptitude is much better at handling package dependencies. So
wherever you see, or use, or are advised to use apt-get, just
substitute 'aptitude' instead.

SO!!! - please try the following, and let us know if that fixes your problem:

sudo aptitude update
sudo aptitude upgrade

it may take a while ;) - so i hope you have a good internet
connection, and can leave it running all night!

As an alternative, and i'm sure there won't be too much difference in
download time/size, you may wish to upgrade your whole system from
feisty to gutsy. wiki.ubuntu.com has instructions on how to do this -
but if you want to do it, give another shout on the list, and i'll try
to guide you through it

cheers,
Tony
