Sì, o meglio, non ricordo se l'errore fosse esattamente lo setesso ma 
con il plugin MAPI per evolution l'applicazione andava in crash. Avevo 
parlato con qualcuno in irc e mi aveva consigliato di ricompilare tutto 
evolution con l'ultima versione.. cosa che sinceramente non avevo 
tempo/voglia di fare (exchange mi serve qui a lavoro).
Come workaround per accedere alla posta excahnge a ho optato per DavMail 
a cui collego comodamente Thunderbird, dovrebbe funzionare nella maggior 
parte dei casi, ma è sempre una soluzione "non nativa".
