Hoary: problemi di rete + domanda

Ciao a tutti,
come anticipato dalla mia mail sulla distribuzione hoary ho dei problemi con la
rete ... andiamo con ordine, spero qualcuno mi possa dare una mano ... tutto e'
cominciato da un paio di dist-upgrade fa (o almeno cosi' e' parso a me, poi
avro' sicuramente fatto qualche manovra errata io ... sicuramente la cosa che
non ho fatto e' andare a modificare a mano qualche file di configurazione per la
rete ... sto provando ubuntu proprio per vedere se e' utilizzabile anche da
utenti che non sanno ed e' meglio che non facciano modifiche a mano sui file di
configurazione ... ma anche questo l'ho detto).
:: Obiettivo (e anche come funzionava prima) ::
di default avere la rete configurata in dhcp e avere altre configurazioni
salvate con ip statici differenti
:: Problema 1 ::
all'avvio e all'arresto della macchina va in errore la configurazione delle
schede di rete e la deconfigurazione delle schede di rete, vi allego il mio
/etc/network/interfaces e l'output di dmesg dopo l'avvio.
:: Problema 2 ::
a questo punto se faccio tasto destro sull'applet di monitoraggio della rete o
anche dalla voce di menu' di configurazione della rete, una volta digitata la
password per il sudo, vedo solo la scheda eth0 non attiva e nelle proprieta' ha
ip statico senza niente nei campi ip, netmask e gateway. (inoltre pima
dall'applet vedevo configurata sia 'eth0' che 'lo' x il localost ora solo eth0).
:: Problema 3 ::
imposto dhcp nelle proprieta' della scheda, la attivo ... do ok e funziona quasi
tutto ... nel senso che ad esempio la mail di tin che scarico con freepops non
funziona (e suppongo sia per lo stesso motivo per cui dall'applet non vedo
'lo'). Riavvio la macchina e sono daccapo.
SIGH SIGH!!! qualcuno sa aiutarmi??? :-(
:: Domanda 1 ::
ammesso che funzioni tutto mi permane un problema che un tempo avevo risolto
utilizzando netenv e cioe' un tool che permettesse di selezionare quale rete
configurare durante il boot e non a macchina gia' avviata come avviene ora sul
mio pc ... questo faceva si che in base alla rete che sceglievo all'avvio mi
trovavo correttamente montati i dischi di rete della rete in cui stavo lavorando
... ora, anche se dopo aver avviato la macchina scelgo un'impostazione di rete
differente non riesco a riprovare i vari mount perche' l'fstab e' gia' stato
letto ... anche qui mi piacerebbe trovare una soluzione, ovviamente questo punto
non e' bloccante ma gli altri si (ri-sigh!)
