This is never what it seems.  I have yet to see it really happen, and
yet it comes up all the time.

I think what really happens is:

op1: (bleep)
op2: hey o1, watch it.
op1: oh right, sorry.

user3; (bleep)
op2: hey user3, watch it.
user3: I can say what I want! (bleeep)
op2: please stop.
user3: bleep bleep bleep.  bleep.
op2: (ban)

user3: double standard!
