Call for comments on IRCC nominees

I've been watching this discussion turn more ugly by every e-mail in the
past day,
and I feel like I should--as a member of the community and an
operator--raise my
views on the final document. I hope we're out of the whole bashing phase
now,
because all it's done is stall the process so far. Let's find out if we're
even going
to settle on a charter now, or if we should wait until the new IRCC is
assembled.
As much as I can see Joseph's point in resolving the charter now, I don't
personally
see it as being so urgent. Are we scared the new IRCC will attempt to get
more
power and run the whole show themselves? I don't think so. Let's get the
actual
charter discussion going, get some feedback together and let the CC and IRCC
put together the final charter.
As for Nathan's suggested changes, I like the clarifications and additions
made
(I don't know what else to say---I fully approve).
