Consideration goes both ways. Without wanting to sound like "an eye for
an eye", I left because the issue I talked about in my original mail was
the last straw in a large bail of actions from mostle freenode staff
(some of them are also ubuntu ops and irc council members) that are
driving people away. I have warned the involved people that things like
me leaving would happen and to the people involved (such as Sarah, who
knows most of the details) it is not even much of a surprise.
I could leave the bots online, but I cannot support them since I will
not be there. That opens them up to abuse and I do not want that to
happen since they run on machines I administer. The code is open and the
data available, anybody can run ubotu (except for the new-bug-reporting
bit, which is tricky to set up and currently tied to a domain I own).
