Feisty doesnt find my harddisk!

This is typically a kernel problem (nowadays, the installer just lets
the kernel deal with practically all hardware detection, since it's in
the best position to do so). It would be worth filing a bug report at
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.20/+filebug
and attaching the output of 'lspci -vvnn' and 'dmesg' from the desktop
CD.
