Do you get the disturbance only while working on the mains? or Do you get it
while running on battery too?
If only mains, it could be some kind of earthing issue.
If disturbance exists on both, you can run "alsamixer" in a terminal .. and
try muting each mixer channel individually and see if makes any difference.
(Hit "F5" to show all mixers, and then use left/right arrow keys to highlight
a mixer and "m" to mute it)
