[ubuntu-in] Audio disturbance

Hi,
I have installed the latest version of Ubuntu on Acer Aspire 5253-BZ661.

Until about a day back, my audio worked perfectly. Now I see that there is a
constant disturbance and am not sure how this has come about.

Second, the headphones don't work when I connect it to the laptop.

Any ideas on how I can fix these two?
