I think you are misunderstanding a lot of the advice or comments. As I had
mentioned in a post earlier, sitting here we have no crystal ball to
understand your problem unless you explain it to us in a way that can be
understood along with info that you think is pertinent. I am not a genius
and would say not many here think of themselves as one either. I am just a
regular not IT guy who has had to learn a lot of computer things on my own
and thought that by being a part of a list or forum, I will learn a few
things more myself. I am certainly not here to lord over newbies as i do not
want to and also because am myself a newbie.
Regarding the terminal, this is the only post you are mentioning that you
tried, but got no result. As i said before, unless you tell us what you see,
we cant know, and if we cant know, we cant proceed to helping resolve. And
you are not helping the cause with either not responding to requests for
command line feedback or posting in SMS speak that a lot of people including
me have difficulty understanding
I think this thread has been grossly misunderstood by a lot of people
involved.
Would like to end this by just asking you to not take things to heart and
try to understand the motive behind.
And please don't let this experience deter you from using this list and
helping others in their problems. Have fun and keep using Linux.
Best of Wishes
Narendra Diwate
