Hi
there is a wifi tool called swscanner - its pretty impressive and powerful -
when it works that is
http://www.swscanner.org
its probably out of current development (last date of release was some time in
2006)
however it is still available in the repos and having used it before it has an
impressive range of tools.
(if people usin wincedows know about netstumbler- they you'll know what i am
talking about)
problem is while it install i always get an error when trying to scan networks
(and hey there is nothing fishy about this)
After starting it up i choose wlan0 interface and start the scanning - the
programme crashes and this is the error message (i start it up through a
terminal)
**
wlan0 Scan completed :
New AP found(01): 00:25:5E:3F:A0:DC
KCrash: Application 'swscanner' crashing...
Could not find 'drkonqi' executable.
KCrash cannot reach kdeinit, launching directly.
X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3
Major opcode: 7
Minor opcode: 0
Resource id: 0x70000ff
**
any idea what could be causing the crash and if there is a possibility of
rectifying it
regards
ram
