the OS and also attached to the correct port. /dev/ttyUSB

Next few Question -
1. is Your device is provided by BSNL -
2. Does it work on windows (has it worked on any system since you got it)
3. What is the password and user name under which it works ?? (no need to
tell me but please verify you have the correct password and user name
In my case - Uttarakhand the default username and password is 165 and not
the phone number that BSNL provides.

4. DId you run gnome-ppp under SUDO mode ??

to run this open terminal
and run -$sudo gnome-ppp

attach device to ttyUSB0

feed in the appropriate password and user name

connect

please provide the log details which will appear in the terminal
