When Gmail started offering POP access, I moved to it from Yahoo in the hope
that i will finally be able to access my old mails offline. However a few
attempts with a few clients were very disappointing. They would just stop
downloading mails after a certain date inspite of clear settings in gmail.
Dont know whether it was the client or gmail that were acting up, but quite
a few clients i tried. So just stopped and went back to online mail access.
Guess the only hope is when you have your own mail server on your own
domain.
