[ubuntu-in] Sound problem with Ubuntu 9.04 on Compaq Presario CQ40-330TU

Hi Folks,

     I tried installing Ubuntu 9.04 on one my freind's new compaq laptop
[Model: Presario CQ40-330TU].
Installation was successful without any hiccups. Except sound everything
seems to be working fine at first place.

I tried many of the workarounds suggested in Ubuntu forumsto fix this sound
issue. But none of them are solving mine problem.
Please help me in fixing this sound issue.

[rock at localhost ~]$ lspci -vv | grep Audio
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio
Controller (rev 03)
