[ubuntu-in] FTP Problem !

hi

i am setting up ftp server on my Ubuntu Desktop
PureAdmin Ftp GUI Server Pure Ftpd
i have made a user in PureAdmin,
when i connect through client Filezilla,
user connects..but then it shows error 530 Authen failed.

i had made user in PureAdmin Gui Ftp server,
should i also make same user in Ubuntu Users & Groups Console
also,
what rights should i give..
can some one pls reply in details
