[ubuntu-in] Reset language in Live-usb

Hi all!
I am using Ubuntu 8.10 on Live-usb (persistence mode). Once, just for trial,
I selected Hindi language on boot up. After that session, when I restarted
the machine, I selected the default English, but it still boots in to Hindi.
If I select Gujarati, it shows Gujarati, but when I select English, it boots
in to the same language that was last used. Can anyone please help me reset
the language?
