[ubuntu-in] Problem with Wireless connectivity

Hi All,

I have been trying for quite sometime to make my wireless LAN work in 
Ubuntu8.04,

here are some information.

the wireless does not reflect in the NETWORK connections ( there are 
only two items listed, one is Wired network and another is PPoe(?))

Please help me to resolve. I am not able to connect to my office lan / 
internet with my Linux.
