Appears to be working fine for me (amd64 version) on my Turion64 X2
(1.9 ghz) based tablet with nVidia 6150 onboard video...
I haven't been using it extensively, just installed it and do some
occasional browsing, media playing... but didnt notice any
performance issues, opened system monitor, CPU usage is about 5% or
less on both cores when not doing anything

Can you check your networking setup... maybe specify a static IP and
hostname instead of dynamic/DHCP to see if that helps?
