This is on expected lines.

I gave you an option to get the source code and work with it so that
kannada can also be included in a similar fashion other indic languages
have been.

Please visit, http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy/scim-modules-table and make
notice that scim-modules-table depends on scim.

and this is exactly what is caught in the typescript that you had sent
previously.

No package 'scim' found //

So you need to install scim before installing scim-modules-table
