What according to you makes IRC the ideal platform ? As opposed to say..
calling for ideas on the mailing list itself ?

Advantages:
	- People can participate at times comfortable to them.
	- They can say what they want and move on .. unlike on IRC where
they'll have to wait for a chance to speak.
