[1] Prism,  as of now and as from what I see in it's website, has no 
Linux support yet. Hence expecting it to work under Ubuntu is not wise.
[2] Prism is no where supported by Ubuntu, from [1] it's not even ready 
for Linux. So using it on Ubuntu is purely experimental at your end.
[3] The talked about problem is in Prism. When a link is invoked, it 
calls the default browser to open the link. If prism is calling or 
rather invoking the same link multiple times, then it's some problem 
with Prism and has nothing to do with Firefox.
[4] If you want to report a bug, you have to do with the bug reporting 
system for Prism (am not even sure if one such exists) and certainly not 
with Ubuntu i.e. in Launchpad and especially not on Firefox.
