[ubuntu-in] Require Hindi TTF font that is incript layout based

Hi!

I use BarahaIME (IME=input method editor) on Windows XP for typing devanagari (sanskrit). www.baraha.com. Works great in most Windows s/w except MS Word! Does not bother me though.

Don't know about Kruti dev fonts, but I do not see how this
is possible with just fonts. Certainly, it would be impossible
with .ttf fonts, which are just a set of glyphs, and have no
embedded rules. What you were probably using was a complete
system, including a layer to translate keyboard input into the
appropriate rendering, i.e., one had to click on something, or
press a key sequence to switch back and forth from Hindi.

Um, I believe that installing a font, and an input method (which
is what the system that you used was probably doing), is quite
easy, and more maintainable in the long run. I do not use Windows,
but from what I see on other people's machines, newer versions of
Windows XP come up with some kind of a built-in keyboard input
method that includes the Inscript layout. Also, enabling Indian-
language support should install Hindi fonts in XP. Maybe this
