What exactly do you mean by "spelling mistakes"? Can you provide us with
screenshots to illustrate your meaning? I would guess that what you are
seeing is errors in rendering, due to lack of Unicode support in the
underlying system. Which version of Microsoft Windows are you using?

have Hindi supported under Microsoft Windows XP, but you need to enable
complex text support (please see http://Wikipedia link). Most Linux
terminal emulators do not support the OpenType, Unicode fonts that are
typically used for complex scripts like Hindi, and for practical
reasons, they are unlikely to ever do so. I know of at least one
terminal emulator, mlterm, that supports Unicode, but last I checked,
even its support for Indian languages was quite poor.

  In any case, if you are using a proper Unicode Hindi font, your data
are safe, and portable to any Unicode-compliant platform, regardless of
errors in rendering them on screen.
