our impending reapproval

Hi Mike,

I will not attempt messing with the editing on the site, would be just
'trial and error', and we have a far better qualified individuals within
our ranks.

Suggestions for the sections to be filled out;

'Global Ubuntu Participation';

- Maybe reiterate conference work, or just move it to that section
altogether rather then having it in with the CD/DVD distribution as they
were significant international conferences which will be continuing on into
the foreseeable future.

- I am sure the community in general is active across launchpad, Ubuntu
Forums, Ask Ubuntu etc., so maybe mention more broadly our ongoing
active participation within the broader global Ubuntu community via those
mediums? Or something to that affect.

'Focusing on the Future';

- Its an exciting time for Ubuntu, just before the roll-out of the Ubuntu
Touch for phones and tablets which should give Ubuntu a global bump and
certainly send some looking for a local Ubuntu community. Might be some
fresh faces who have never even looked at the desktop flavours, so we
should be ready to embrace those when they come along and be sure they can
find us.

- Maybe we can add some honesty about ceasing the CD/DVD distribution? Its
generally a nightmare and for those that can not download the .iso then I
am sure some of us will help plug that gap when it arises.

- We should try to raise our social networking profile, even if it is just
more regular tweets/dents/social media postings in our best "I'm not dead
yet" shout from the cart.

- Again, reiterate our footprint on college campuses, even if just through
the computer/tech societies.

- REGULAR meetings. Even if it is just a standing monthly IRC meeting (is
there a quorum requirement? If so call it a hangout if we fall short). If
nothing else, will allow lurkers to see what's going on and let a few of us
keep a finger on the pulse. To broaden our reach the monthly meeting could
be held simultaneously with a Google Hangout, much like the new VUDS model.
I should add that we can always schedule 'off months' over December and
January.

Will stop the rambling now.

With respect to the IRC meeting on the 16th, I should be able to log in for
that and is that ok? Or is just for those special Ubuntu Member types? ;-)

Thanks again for the time and effort you put in Mike.

Best regards,
Keith Drummond
