Ubuntu forms /ubuntu.ie crossover

Hey folks. Just to query the glitch that happened a few months ago with ubuntu forum and ubuntu.ie mailing list. 

We were all subscribed to received emails . Did we get signed up to ubuntu forums with the mailing list email and password? 
It wouldn't effect me (anymore than it does) as I have an ubuntu forms account with the same details and I am in the process of changing My passwords .  
However I am just asking for people who as a result of the glitch MIGHT of had an account  made for them without knowing . people here without ubuntu forms accounts might consider changing their passwords as well

Just a thought about the ordeal , maybe somebody might know if the mailing list details  were  compromised
