Hi Everyone,
With Ubuntu 11.04, Natty Narwhal scheduled for final release on
Thursday the 28th of April, 2011 we should decide on how we
plan to celebrate. Initial questions that come to mind are:
1) Will we have a pub based release party or something different?
2) Will we have it on the evening of the release day itself or
a different day, such as a weekend day?
3) If so which day?
This is just the beginning. Your views and ideas relating to this
would be very welcome feedback indeed.
At the last IRC meeting a suggestion was made that an alternative form
of feedback, other than the mailing list, may be more appealing to some
people.
With this in mind I'll be duplicating this post on the Ubuntu Ireland
website. If anyone would like to leave a comment to that posting
instead of replying to the mailing list they are more than welcome to do
so. That post is located at:
http://www.ubuntu-ie.org/node/141
To be clear, this is not a switch away from the mailing list. It is
just an initial action on an idea expressed at the last IRC meeting to
stimulate more feedback and discussion.
Best Regards,
Mike O'Donohue.
