Hi Barry,

Physical meet ups (ubuntu hours/geeknics/release parties/pub meets) are
also used a lot in the community 'make new friends'/'have fun' category.
IRC channels can be a great way to socialise aswell. Half the stuff we
talk about on #ubuntu-ie is just general chit chat. "How are you?", etc.
