Hi all,

First off let me introduce myself - I'm James Sweeney an
analyst/developer with Limerick City Council. We are, as you can
imagine, heavily invested in Microsoft technologies. We are however
taking our first steps to introducing open source technologies. The city
manager has been using Ubuntu as his primary desktop for a number of
years now so we have good buy in and are eager to progress. We have a
groupware solution rolled out to a small number of users thanks to ebox
and egroupware.

In order to roll out groupware to more users (we have ~400 desktop users
here in the council) we are looking for a suitable open source partner.
Could someone recommend a suitable Irish company that specialises in
open source (Linux/mail/LDAP)? As I mentioned we have used ebox so far
but I would prefer to move away from this and deal directly with the
individual modules, rather than the ebox "tick the box and it does
everything magically" approach.

I would appreciate any recommendations or referrals to companies that
have done a similar migration from M$ to open source.

Feel free to contact me at my details below.

Thanks for your time,
James
