Hello
On July 9, 2015 Ubuntu has updated Firefox to a new
version: 39.0 and that's okay, but what about Ubuntu
12.04 LTS? Official, so-called, USN [1] (Ubuntu Security
Notices) mentions only these three Releases:
1\ Ubuntu 15.04
2\ Ubuntu 14.10
3\ Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
I would like ask why there is not update for Ubuntu 12.04
LTS, which is supported until 2017? I don't see any info,
for example, on already mentioned USN etc. Why Firefox 39
is not available for a Ubuntu 12.04 LTS?
It's pretty strange, because all previous security updates were
available. (Till now I'm using last updated version: 38.0).
Does it mean, that there will be not provided a security update
for a Firefox on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS release?
Best regards.
