14.04 and Broadcom bcm43xx wifi support

Looks like 14.04 has a problem with Broadcom bcm43xx wireless support --
meaning it does not work.

In a Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop using 13.10, wireless would work using
this scenario.

sudo apt-get remove bcmwl-kernel-source

sudo apt-get install b43-fwcutter firmware-b43-installer

and reboot.

However, these steps do not solve the problem with 14.04.

As a side note, using the live CD, Ethernet access worked. However,
after the install and reboot, the Ethernet interface also failed.

I suspect these are upstream problems so just posting with the info.
