Raring and suspend on lid close

Hi,

after upgrading to raring + gnome3 PPA + staging PPA, I noticed that my
laptop no longer suspends when i close its lid. After googling a bit, i

Apparently, Ubuntu GNOME doesn't come with suspend, which is necessary
for GNOME 3 to work correctly. What is the plan for raring? How will it
be fixed so that suspend on lid close works out of the box? Are you
planning to install systemd on Ubuntu GNOME by default in a near future?
