Hello,
I already installed the extension pack and did the trick with Enable 
PAE/NX so I don't know if I could do it without extension pack 
installed. Maybe someone else can test it and tell us what happens.

It passed the black screen with the PAE warning. I installed it and 
start using it. It won't be very fast though (since it's virtual box). 
I'll try though.
