Essayes apt-get install x-window-system-core (Installes la partie
graphique) ou réinstalles le.
Il semblerait que tu as certains packages qui te manque.
Comment est-tu passé à Hoary ?
Warty utilise xfree86 et le fichier est Xfree86Config-4
Hoary xorg et le fichier est xorg.conf
