Driver winmodem linuxant hsfconfig et kernel header

bonjour,
J'ai installé Hoary amd 64 en version stable ce dimanche.
J'ai un PC TARGA avec un AMD Athlon64™ 3200+
et surtout un 56K V.90 modem rtc (winmodem HSF)
J'ai installé un paquet rpm avec la commande "alien" pour le driver du 
modem (hsfmodem-7.18.00.03x86_64full-1.x86_64.rpm chez linuxant.com)

voici le message que j'ai lorsque je fais hsfconfig :

Pourriez-vous m'éclairer sur ce script. Dois-je compiler mon Kernel et 
si oui comment ?
[J'ai installé les headers correspondant à mon noyau depuis le CD (eh 
oui pas d'internet of course]
Je suis un noob sur ces aspects et le même post sur le forum 
ubuntu-fr.org ne me donne pas de réponse.

ps: j'ai un affreux doute mais au boulot pour l'instant je ne peux 
vérifier, celà ne viendrai pas de l'absence de GCC ?
