Inquiry

Assalamu Alaikum,

I had a similar inquiry in mind too, but I was told that the Ubuntu-eg
doesn't have a development team....so why not make a development team?

Personally, I'm set on developing a few packages as a start then start
playing with the kernel modules and source code....

So if I'm going to make a list of recommendations for development:
-Since you probably have programming experience, develop debian packages
(.deb files)
-Build a driver for a simple USB device
-Read the source code for simple kernel modules
-Compile the kernel..(for a more geeky experience, try gentoo, it's a
different distro and it's a bit tiring in compilation and setting up)
-Start developing a few simple kernel modules
-Learn the source code of a microkernel (not by heart but have an almost
in-depth understanding of it)...I would suggest Minix (Linus' inspiration)

That's my personal list...if that's what you meant
