Mission statement is a lot better cause it speaks about long term goals.

I guess if people want to know what we are doing they will be more pleased
with loco directory, facebook, twitter ..etc more than with some static
outdated text on a wiki page. So I think it should be removed totally
provided that, most probably, people will follow us on various social
networks. And of course we can put a link to the RSS feed from the loco
directory as you suggested.

 I don't see it as a flag it's a language indicator, but of course we can
vote on removing it.
