Having contacts with TAs is great, this will ease many things isAllah, "including the meeting with the Dean or Vice Dean and other reservations."

I suggest going directly to the Dean, not the vice dean, because when Dr. Reem is convinced she will get you what you want directly "men 3'eer laf we dawaran ma3 ba2eet el nas".

The place you suggested is great, it will be like a big installation booth, however, I suggest to make a pre-installation session, that motivates students to install Ubuntu , because the open source mentality in our faculty is not so mature, "this is from my personal point of view"

There are two main issues you have to take care of:

1- Media , Media & Media
2- Visitors or speakers who are not from FCI-CU, will need a permission from the faculty security before the event . "Ka2ed El 7aras", "something for routine, and to avoid embarrassing situations on the event day from the faculty security"

Finally this is my opinion from my own point of view, you may ask more people to get wider view.

P.S. : "Any posters or flyers will need a permission from Re3ayet el Shabab too."

AA Aya,
I have been in contact with TAs Mostafa Saad and Eslam Foad from the
CS department and we have agreed to contact the vice-deans as soon as
possible. Feel free to contact them along with the rest of the C2S
teams to see if we can arrange something and keep me in sync.

As for the hall, I do think that the halls you suggested would be more
suitable for organizing the sessions, however installing ubuntu on
machines of attendants would require a more open space, perhaps the
ground floor of the new building or the open ground in front of el
modarrag el kebeer, however this will likely require some serious
approvals from the dean, but I don't think it's going to be a major
problem if we arrange the fest to take place during the weekend in a
Friday or a Saturday.
