Hello my name is Nydia i'm a 36yr old women living in Arizona. I have just
started using Ubuntu and i love it but i don't know alot about it or how to
use it. My knowledge of computers is very basic to no real knowledge(1994).
In the last months i got a computer from my husbands work and a tower from
my sister that she was going to throw away, and with offline reading and
some internet from my daughters school, i but the two together myself to
get them to work. I had never had a computer before or any of todays
technology including cell phone, but now i have become so drawn to it, i
need to know more. Ubuntu is what i heard about on youtube so i bought just
the cd brand new without the book from someone online.with all this being
said really i know NOTHING! I hope to start online classes in Jan.(just
finished FAFSA)for computers and also hope to start working from home doing
customer service. I don't know if i can use Ubuntu to take my online
classes and i don't know what classes to take because there are different
categorizes, but i want to know everything. Working from home i dont know if
i can, reading their website Ubuntu was not a program listed and when i
spoke to someone about it she didnt what Ubuntu was and has refferred me to
someone else.So i don't know all of this, on top of that i don't know if i
have enough memory, enough ram(my tower its kinda scary the side doesnt fit
well so somethimes wires are exposed, panel was bent and would go back on
right, i have to stick my finger in the tower a bit to turn it on). I have
so many questions.Sorry if i sound crazy, i don't even know if you can help
me answer these questions. I'm sure its education on Ubuntu only which
would be fine,i want to know the very least the basic of Ubuntu but perheps
you could refer me somewhere to find it out.PLEASE HELP!!!!!
Thank you,
Nydia
