Have you tried following these instructions:

Even though your SSH key is already registered on Launchpad, there
may be a step you missed that's needed for this to work. As noted in
that post, those instructions are for Kubuntu users, but if you open
your Ubuntu terminal whenever you see a reference to Konsole, they
should work for you.

Good luck. I remember it was a bit of an adventure getting that all
working. (:
