As regards the desktop, we release the official docs for each Ubuntu
version. They are also published on the web:

Not sure it would fit there. I still think the page I linked to should
be altered at first hand. (I noticed they would like to see a bug report
instead.)

Well, that's true. The main problem right now is a lack of time; the
deadline is tomorrow. So there is simply not enough time to even
consider it seriously before then. Sorry.
