from this lurker!! I would say yes whole-heartedly if it were up to me!
Even if it results in any documentation having screen-shots based on the
older UI then it just shows Ubuntu in a positive way. Presumably most of
the rest of documentation shows the newer UI so users should be able to
figure it out very easily.
