[wiki] PopularPages - recommended update to F page

Hi Tom,

<< I'm only not sure what the "unsupported" section is about. >>

The "unsupported" was originally meant to refer to Ubuntu versions which are outdated and no longer supported. The old, outdated Firewire pages could go in that section, or in the "unedited" section (referring to pages which haven't been edited in 18 months or more.)

<<I think it might be better to keep them as sub-pages.
The parent page should surely be;
FireWire
shouldn't it? Quickest way to deal with the sub-pages that are not already linked to might be to create a "Links" section at the bottom of the wiki-page and then copy&paste all those links into that without even writing any explanations about which each page is for. The names are good enough "as is" anyway. ?? >>

I agree that would be an excellent solution. Volunteers, anyone? LOL. My function has mostly been to go through the PopularPages and check for pages which qualify as unedited, tagged, or unsupported. Rather than edit the pages myself, I move them to ToBeReviewed as an intermediary step, until someone with the expertise on the particular subject can address them.

I don't know if this is the best way to do this, but this is what we worked out in the early days of NewDocs (now PopularPages). The primary goal was/is to keep those pages up to date and easy to use (i.e. not cluttered with outdated or useless links). My time and level of technical knowledge allow me to at least do that. It's one very small way I can be involved and help out. :)

Best wishes,
Leigh
