Hi Benjamin,
Documentation string freeze is Thursday September 19th, 2013.
Given some of the issues that we have been trying to sort out over the last
few days, we need all the time we can get.
Since Kevin and I can push directly, that means we get until Thursday.
For a merge proposal, that we then need to approve and merge, how about more
like EOD Tuesday?
For the "What's New" page, and if it comes to it, rather than leave it
outdated I suggest that we write something like "At the string freeze
deadline the doc team did not know what was new for 13.10". At least then
new comers would not be trying to find stuff that was new for 12.10 (since
there was no update to 13.04 either), but now not even there.
. Doug

Subject: Get final merges in to Ubuntu Docs
This serves as a notice that early next week the process of releasing Ubuntu
Docs will occur as such I encourage everyone to please get your final merges
proposals in no later than EOD Sunday. I have still not got any response
from the Ubuntu Desktop Team or other engineering teams as to new features
they would like highlighted on What's New and absent a response from them I
plan to ship the outdated page and assign them to a bug and let them SRU it.
