Documentation on Installing Ubuntu has inconsistencies

This is a difficult one, because there is no standard term. I'll try to
clarify that they all mean the same thing.
Under 10.04 the wording was changed from create "usb startup disk" to just
create "startup disk"
or words to that effect (I'm in Lubuntu atm, so cannot recall the exact
phrasing).
Maybe the question should / could be "does your computer support booting
from an external device?"; at which point we open the proverbial 'can of
worms'
I'd suggest that there is a link put in to
http://www.pendrivelinux.com/testing-your-system-for-usb-boot-compatibility/
So people can check their system, or point to as separate article.
It seems little point in re-inventing the wheel for a good 'How-To', and
that site does give easy to follow tutorials.
The only thing to add is that some computers can 'see' SD cards as bootable
now, they can also be run in persistence mode
Definitely a 'can of worms' (Says he who has yet to figure out the formating
system for documentation)
just my $0.02 worth, hope it helps on thinking like a Noob to Ubuntu.
